About Bartolone's Lifeguard & CPR Training LLC
~ Serving Central NJ & Eastern PA ~

Founded in 2018 and home to Monroe Township (Middlesex NJ), Bartolone's Lifeguard & CPR Training LLC is owned by long time Red Cross Instructor - Vincent Bartolone (that's me). My business has no social media feeds, no fake reviews, and common sense practice. I have 19 years of experience running Lifeguard and CPR classes in addition to being a volunteer firefighter (FF2 & Pump Operator) for many years. As a full time public school teacher, this business is mostly a summer job although I occasionally run classes in the fall and/or spring.

LOGO: The dog in the middle of my logo is my boxer named Moose, who is my official business mascot. Moose sadly passed away from aggressive lung cancer in November, 2024. The firefighter Maltese represents my years of service as a firefighter, and the names inside the Maltese represent my surrounding counties.

Service Area by County:
NJ: Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset, Hunterdon, Union, Ocean, Burlington
PA: Bucks, Montgomery
Awards
In the last few years, my business has received several smaller awards and recognition from various pools, organizations, and towns (thank you!). One of my business goals is to receive a Top National American Red Cross Training Provider Award (Top 200 Training Providers Across the United States). I'm hopeful that each year, I can move closer and closer to this award.

I'm proud to share that each year, I hear stories from past students of rescues they've performed, using lifesaving skills outside of work, and some who go above the call of duty. Some of these guards have even received the American Red Cross Lifesaving Award. More information about the Lifesaving Awards can be found here: Lifesaving Award Details
As a reminder, if your a lifeguard that has used a lifesaving skill during an incident such as: CPR, using an AED, controlling severe bleeding, saving a choking victim, recognizing or treating a sudden illness including heart attack, performing a water rescue of an active or passive victim, or anything else I taught you in class... I want to hear about it!

What a fun class! And what a surprise with how similar the American Red Cross is to StarGuard. The crossover course was very demanding but between the digital manual and your instruction, it was manageable. I hated the blended learning which obviously you have nothing to do with. StarGuard doesn’t have us perform as many scenarios but I definitely feel prepared after cycling through all of them. You were the only business within 100 miles to offer a crossover.

Shallow to Lifeguarding
My town only has a shallow water pool. I wish I knew ahead of time how restrictive a shallow water lifeguard certification would be for my daughter... it's practically useless. You were the only instructor to know exactly how to get my daughter over to general lifeguarding without her having to retake a full course. We're both very thankful. Having the class in a heated pool was a nice bonus! Thank you again.

As a fellow instructor, it was nice to see you uphold Red Cross policies and refuse entry to students who couldn’t pass the swim prerequisites. If you're not in shape to complete a 200 swim, you should be lifeguarding. I enjoyed the way you ran the class and learned a tremendous amount of tips and tricks. I found the way you taught deep water rescue and passive front very enlightening. I hope to see you again in 2 years for another recert. Cheers.

My girls have been using Bartolone's Lifeguard & CPR Training since 2023. My kids like it and do very well. I also like it for his professional correspondence. He is easy to contact and quick with a response.

Thank you for taking the time to make sure I knew how to do all the skills correctly. My last instructor didn't care and just passed everyone. I feel like a real lifeguard now. Thanks.

Great first time experience with this company. The waterfront certification was fun but challenging. I was nervous about being in the lake but Coach Vince stayed in the water most of the time with us to make sure we were safe and knew how to do each skill.

I highly recommend this company. Switching over from Ellis and Associates to American Red Cross was supposed to be easy but none of the Red Cross instructors I talked to knew how to do this. I almost gave up until someone recommended Vince’s company. He saved me a lot of time, money, and frustration. Thank you.

Mr. Bartolone is a great honest guy. He's been recertifying my construction workers for several years. Prices are upfront, workers feel prepared, and OSHA is happy. Can't go wrong with him.

We were happy to find the class was down the street at a neighboring swim club. My boys had a great time and learned a lot. The materials the instructor sent home before class was helpful. I liked how my kids could complete the online portion at their own pace though it took much longer than expected. Ben and Mason were able to find jobs quickly after getting certified!

We're very thankful Derek had you as his teacher. Last month during dinner, Derek saved his sister's friend who was choking on hibachi. As everyone is panicking, he jumped up and sprang into action with the heimlich. Not even three weeks later, he was with my parents and my dad was showing signs of a heart attack. Of course my father said he was fine but Derek ignored him and called 911 and probably saved my father's life. The skills you've taught my son have been invaluable and we're all extremely grateful! Thank you!!!

The health department came in and checked my guard's certifications during inspection. As soon as he saw your name on some of the certifications, he smiled and said your one of the best instructors around.

I would just like to say that it has been a pleasure having Vince come to our pool to run his training classes over the past several years. We are fortunate to have him train our guards as well as many of the other area guards. He is a great example of a small, local business providing an important service to our community.

I discovered Bartolone’s Lifeguard Training by accident while looking for classes on the Red Cross website. My last two Red Cross instructors were very disappointing. One was rude and yelled a lot. The other didn’t know how to teach. Mr. Bartolone’s recert class was a nice surprise. I feel I learned more from his class than my last two recert classes combined.
